Diana: A Celebration
That's the name of an exhibition celebrating the life of Princess Di in Atlanta. I was lucky enough to preview the exhibition, where 150 items from her life, from childhood on, are on display. We also saw private footage of home movies from when she was a child, lots of gorgeous jewelry and some of the many outfits she wore while carrying out her royal duties. www.dianaexhibition.com
See a photo of the gorgeous wedding dress and read more about my visit to the exhibition at our new Travelgirl blog! http://travelgirlsblog.wordpress.com
Art Alive
in San Diego
How would you interpret a painting with flowers? More than 100 floral designers do just that every year at the San Diego Museum of Art's Art Alive fundraiser. Now in its 29th year, the exhibition is open to the public from April 30 to May 2. Special events include an Opening Celebration, Member Preview and family-oriented "Garden of Activities." Pictured from Art Alive 2009 is a floral arrangement by Brenda Landini, ROP Floral Design, for Francesco Vecellio’s Madonna and Child with the Infant John the Baptist. Visit www.sdmart.org for more information.

Pick of the Week
I love a company that stands behind its products, don't you? I'd used a Houdini Wine Opener from Rabbit and Friends for years when it just quit working on me. I was about to just chuck it when I noticed the box said it had a lifetime warranty. So I packed it up and mailed it back, with a note explaining that I didn't have a receipt because it was a gift. About three days later I had a package. I expected my fixed-up wine opener and was stunned to find a brand-new one. Thank goodness it was just in time to host my Book Club, where we have been known to drink a bottle or two. $30, (plus free ground shipping!) for the Houdini Candy Apple Red Wine Opener at www.rabbitandfriends.com
