Lauren Hutton once said that without travel, "I would have wound up a little ignorant white Southern female, which was not my idea of a good life." I'm a white, Southern female and there's nothing I can, or would do about that, but as for the ignorant part? I've learned and experienced so much from my travels this year - from ziplining in Costa Rica, to exploring the limestone-mosaic sidewalks of Lisbon, to cruising the deep waters of Lake Tahoe. I even learned how to fold a napkin into an elf shoe at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, a technique I'm hoping to master this holiday season.
Whatever your reason for travel, we wish you safe, happy travels during the holiday season!

Now in its sixth year, the Savannah Music Festival continues to expand and has become a premier event for music-lovers. This 18-day music festival features a mix of genres, including Cajun, gospel, chamber music, Fado and the blues. Savannah native Johnny Mercer would have been 100 in 2009, so this year many of the artists are performing some of his popular hits from the '30s, '40s and '50s. And there are few venues more beautiful than Savannah in the spring. Buy tickets and learn more at www.savannahmusicfestival.org
