Take Me Away to Callaway

 

Callaway Gardens, a gorgeous 13,000-acre resort, has been one of my favorite destinations since I was a child. Just 70 miles from Atlanta, the resort has gorgeous gardens, a beautiful beach and lake, miles of bike paths and adorable cottages and inn rooms to stay in. But I hadn't visited the Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens, the newest lodging facility. I head there next week for just one night - stay tuned for my review! From the photo it looks like an excellent place to start 2012.

TripAdvisor, my favorite travel advice site, compiled a list of 15 destinations on the rise. How many have you visited?
