Our Favorite Travelgirls!

These “Eighty’s Ladies” all graduated from the same high school in the small town of Versailles, MO in 1980 and when their classmate Brenda Ball Kleege offered to treat them to a getaway in San Diego, they made it a Travelgirl Girlfriends Getaway, with Travelgirl luggage, a luggage contest and subscriptions to Travelgirl for everyone! The ladies enjoyed sightseeing, cruising in a yacht and riding in a limo, reliving old memories and creating lots of new ones. Thanks, ladies, for sharing your Travelgirl Girlfriends Getaway.

NYC High Line Doubles Length

The second section of the High Line Park opened in June, doubling the length of this park to a mile. This public park was built on an elevated freight rail line 30 feet high and now runs from Gansevoort Street to West 30th Street. and is one of the city's most popular attractions. On July 28 the High Line Rink opens, an 8000-square-foot open-air roller-skating rink at The Lot, a temporary plaza below the High Line at West 30th Street and 10th Avenue. The rink stays open until September 26. www.thehighline.org

Pick of the Week

I love my cute little silky tops and spaghetti-strap dresses but get tired of picking them up from my closet floor when they slip off the hangars. These clever velour fabric pieces slip right on top of any type of hangars and keep items from slipping off. On sale now: $10 for a set of three and they come in tan, pink and black.
