I love the beach, but am equally enamored of a mountain getaway. These three charming guesthouses are just 75 miles north of Atlanta at a restored 1890s gristmill on 50 wooded acres on Sutton Creek. The largest, Sutton Mill House, has four bedrooms, the Barn House has two suites and the Miller's Cabin has one bedroom. Guests can enjoy a fire pit area and walking trails. Pick a Papa – Key West

We got a kick out of this – an Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Contest in Key West to take place July 23-25. Up to 125 bearded fellows are expected at Sloppy Joe's Bar, the celebrated author's favorite watering hole in the 1930s. Khaki-outfitted, wool-sweatered men come from all over to vie for the crown. In 2008, after eight attempts, Tom Grizzard took home the prize. The event is just one during Hemingway Days, which starts on Wednesday July 22.
